Stock Market Update

As U.S. stock markets gear up to open in two hours, some notable companies are already showing significant gains. E.l.f. Beauty Inc. (ELF) has surged 17.4% in pre-market trading, while Vertiv Holdings LLC (VRT) is up 16.9%.

In the same vein, Freshworks Inc. Cl A (FRSH), Match Group Inc. (MTCH), and Paramount Global Cl A (PARAA) all boast gains of at least 8%. However, SolarEdge Technologies Inc. (SEDG) and Generac Holdings Inc. (GNRC) haven’t fared as well, with both experiencing declines of 12.4% and 11.5%, respectively.

The futures market paints a slightly gloomier picture, with the S&P 500 futures down by 0.49%. Similarly, the futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average have fallen by 0.30%. It’s worth noting that the Cboe Volatility Index futures are up by 2.01%.

Turning to commodities, Brent crude oil futures show an upward trend of 0.74%, while gold futures have increased by 0.55%. Bitcoin continues its ascent, rising by 1.03% to reach $29,510.

Meanwhile, the 10-Year Treasury yield has dropped to 4.017%.

Looking back at the previous regular trading session, the S&P 500 experienced a slight dip of 0.27%, whereas the Dow managed to gain 0.20%. Asian stocks also didn’t fare well overnight, with Japan’s NIKKEI 225 Index falling by 2.30% and China’s Shanghai Composite Index experiencing a decline of 0.89%.

Currently, stocks in Europe are also experiencing a downturn. The STOXX Europe 600 Index has declined by 0.87%, and the FTSE 100 Index fell by 1.01% from the previous close.
