Pre-Market Trading
As the U.S. stock markets prepare to open, several companies are experiencing notable changes in their pre-market trading:
- Dollar General Corp. (DG) is up by 6.8%
- Roivant Sciences Ltd. (ROIV) is up by 3.0%
- Royalty Pharma PLC (RPRX), Natera Inc. (NTRA), and Elbit Systems Ltd. (ESLT) are all posting gains of at least 2%
- Fortinet Inc. (FTNT) and Qorvo Inc. (QRVO), however, have experienced declines, falling by 3.2% and 2.5% respectively.
Futures and Commodities
Looking at the futures market, the S&P 500 is down by 0.15%, while futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average have risen by 0.04%. Additionally, the Cboe Volatility Index futures have seen an increase of 3.48%.
In commodities news, Brent crude oil futures are up by 3.52%, gold futures have risen by 1.16%, and Bitcoin has seen a slight increase of 0.33% to reach $26,826.
Treasury Yield
The 10-Year Treasury yield has fallen to 4.610%.
Previous Trading Session Performance
In the previous regular trading session, the S&P 500 experienced a decline of 0.62%, while the Dow fell by 0.51%. Stocks in Asia also suffered losses with the NIKKEI 225 Index in Japan down by 0.55% and China’s Shanghai Composite Index falling by 0.64%.
Current European Market Snapshot
As of this moment, stocks in Europe are also showing a downward trend. The STOXX Europe 600 Index has dropped by 0.65%, and the FTSE 100 Index has fallen by 0.29% since the previous close.
